There wasn't a lot of sun light left when we finished talking,
and bargain hunting, but we made sure we had enough time to take a look at the
finish line. It is most fitting that runners of the Air Force Marathon complete
their trek through a corridor of historic aircraft that once attended to the
most serious business of freedom and democracy; standing today as silent
monuments for those who will take time to remember. |

A really great thing about being a marathon runner is meeting
other marathon runners! We elected to do our carbo loading at a local Italian
cuisine eatery and met this group from Virginia. Go Red
Horse! |
