This drum group was at a shopping mall right after we turned off South Las Vegas Boulevard. |

They were putting on quite a show. I could hear them long before I could see them. |
| We're in the city now, less than 5 miles from the
Finish. Kathy loves photos like this (with both feet off the ground) because it really defines running. If you're walking or jogging , you've always got at least one foot on the ground. |

| This is about the time in a marathon that I start telling myself "it's only 5 miles. . . . you run that every morning. . . . this is not a big deal." | |
| Laura still feeling good. | |

The runners had their own lane on Sunset Road, which runs along the south side of McCarran international Airport. East bound traffic had to give up that lane for us, so their progress was stop and go for about two miles. They were just cleaning this up when I got there. I'm guessing the driver of this car was was watching the runners instead of the car ahead. |
| Well this one certainly turned out better than Dayton. I was hoping for a few less minutes, but I guess I can't complain since I spent so much time taking pictures along the way. | |
| Laura's official finish was 4:13:49. Not her best time, but considering she hadn't trained since the Huff back in December, not too bad. I'm always amazed (and proud) that she can find time in her med school schedule to run at all. Good job Laura! |
