Comparing E-10 and E-20 ImagesOctober 30, 2001 I'm sure that in a few months, this won't even be of interest to anyone, but today it seems that there are a lot of people who are concerned about the amount of blue channel noise the E-20 may have compared to the E-10. This is sort of interesting because I remember all the flap from a year ago was on this same subject. My opinion is that the E-20 presents almost identical image quality to the E-10, just more of it. Below you will find shots that were specifically taken to get as much sky noise as possible. Also shots that were intended to cause chromatic aberrations. In each case, I tried to shoot the scene with both the E-10 and E-20 within a few seconds of one another. All images were saved in the camera as 8:1 compression JPEG files. The thumbnails will return the original file - only the first set have been altered in any way (they were rotated). The EXIF headers are still in the original files you you can open them up and see all the camera details. Please keep in mind that I've only had the E-20 for a few hours, and had only about one hour to shoot these images. You'll notice that I didn't even bother to set the time and date on the E-20 because I was loosing light fast and wanted to get at least a few shots today.
