Altered PerspectivesDid you ever want to straighten out converging lines, or prop up a falling building? By no means do I advocate doing this all the time. However, just as swings and tilts have allowed view cameras to correct converging lines for over 100 years, the software tools at our disposal offer similar capabilities to the modern digital photographer. In each of the examples below, I used the perspective resize tool in Photo Impact 6 to reform the original image. Similar tools are available in other software products. In each case, the original image (just as it came out of the camera) is on the left. The revised image is presented at half size on the right. I didn't spend more than 10 minutes on any of these. All images are were shot in Fort Wayne, Indiana with an Olympus E-10.
